Men have periods also

No, I am not suggesting that we have an undetected menstrual cycle as women do, but by gosh you don’t need a scientist to tell you that we have periods also. By my reckoning it’s every 4-6 weeks. Those who are in tune with their body and mind will often or not feel change within themselves. And recently, I feel absolutely shattered, and at times I feel somewhat annoyed for no particular reason. And then there are times when I just don’t want to speak – just to be left alone (I speak of internal conditions and influences only, not external and environmental). Of course, I am in the knowledge and acceptance of this period of hormonal shift and imbalances, and so I am able to live in harmony with my immediate family as we all go through our own separate natural and complimentary Yin and Yang emotions at different times of the month.

Male symptoms:
Low period: lassitude, heaviness, mood swing, sex drive (could go either way), apathetic, indifferent
High period: greater sense of well-being, more energy, feeling lighter (in weight), sex drive (could go either way)

And no I am not suggesting all men go through an Irritable Male Syndrome (IMS)/andropause every passing month for sure this is something much later down the line (perhaps)… but I would ask all men to carefully be in connection with their inner sanctums for knowing oneself mentally and physically will bode well when developing relationships and living with others.

So, beautiful women of nature who come across this post, please do bear in mind that we both go through the motions and not only need our own respective time out (not with friends, but quiet balanced relaxation), but also to be peppered with love and affection. Naturally, if your daily well-being is in good order… one’s symptoms should be under one’s own influence with grace and harmony. Ah, the complexities and beauties of life and living…

  1. I have been married for almost 25 years and know this to be true of my husband. He is the happiest guy I know, but every once in a while he gets a little withdrawn. It only lasts a day or two and then he’s good to go for another month or two!
    Great post!
