For Now I am Winter

winter colours

It receded and substracted the elements of time
It’s own ambient space and velvet tongues…
of my own whispering shadows,

Dancing to shed the blocked void
Requiem, howling, and fatigue…
cold spine restrained against the floor,

My eyes fused it came to me
The colours…
For now I am winter.

  1. What resonates is your parting line, and I quote, ” For now I am winter.” This has the capacity of conveying so many meanings about who we are. What do these lines mean to you?

    1. Hi Shakti, thanks for stopping by and sharing your thoughts. As for the last line… I will leave that open to interpretation for readers, it has more impact that way. I hope you don’t mind 😉
