Manuscript Assessment & Moving

It’s been a short while since my last non-creative post and for that matter I hope that all is well in the life of my fellow bloggers and followers. I finally got round to looking over my novel draft (the first part in a sci-fi/fantasy trilogy) along with it’s covering letter, and have researched into suitable publishers and agents. Now I’m working on a relevant CV if necessary, and polishing up the full synopsis. Needless to say the whole operation feels like hunting for a full-time job in itself. In the meantime, I have sent my manuscript for a full assessment, which apparently takes 4-6 weeks max. I’m looking forward to receiving feedback from professionals, which will ultimately to some degree outline whether what I’ve written is worthy of publishing and whether I’ve got what it takes to be an author. But most importantly, I’ve only received feedback from literary-related friends who have been ultra busy and perhaps highly biased. Once feedback has been received I will post an update here.

On a side note… I’ve been slightly distracted from my blogging world, as we’ve have recently moved from London to Northamptonshire. Yes, I now feel like a hobbit, as I can say I’m officially from the ‘shire’. We’ve swapped the ultra busy and convenient London life for fresher air, greener views and a slower pace. As you can imagine there are so many things that need to be done whilst moving from one place to another, but finally everything is sorted and we’re settled. We even managed to find a wonderful local athletics club so that our children can keep up their Olympic Yume (Dream).

Energy, Light and Harmonic Blessings.
